Microsoft's strategy to conquer the markets where
users can't afford to pay the prices of a Windows XP involves launching
low cost versions, called Windows XP Starter Edition.
It's obvious these are cheaper, but they are stripped
of some of the features offered by Windows XP.

has also launched Windows XP Starter Edition versions in India,
Thailand or Mexico, 22 countries and six languages, to be more precise.
